Economic Journalist Belbase Honored with 'Suman Bhomjan Memorial Journalism Award 2082'

Kathmandu — Bhesh Raj Belbase, an economic journalist working at Gorkhapatra Daily, has been honored with the 'Suman Bhomjan Memorial Journalism Award 2082'.

The award was presented by Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, during a special ceremony marking Gorkhapatra’s 125th anniversary and the 63rd establishment day of the corporation.

Actively involved in Nepali journalism for over two decades, Belbase has been contributing to the field of economic journalism since joining Gorkhapatra in 2064 B.S.. The award, established by the Nepal Journalists' Association, Gorkhapatra Corporation Branch, recognizes significant contributions to Nepali journalism.

At the same event, senior journalist and writer Vijay Kumar Chalise received the 'Ramchandra–Indu Journalism Award 2082', while Umesh Ojha, editor of Yuvamanch monthly, was honored with the 'Gorkhapatra Journalism Award 2082'.

Likewise, Binu Shrestha of The Rising Nepal and Sapana Thami of Gorkhapatraonlinedotcom were awarded the 'Gorkhapatra Active Journalism Award 2082'. In addition, Teertha Raj Adhikari from the Proofreading Department of Gorkhapatra Daily also received the 'Suman Bhomjan Memorial Journalism Award 2082'.
