Kathmandu – In a significant move to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application, Embark UnMath Pvt. Ltd. has launched its flagship program, Entrepreneurial Math, aimed at students from Grades 6 to 12.
The yearlong initiative reimagines how mathematics is taught in schools by integrating core business concepts such as financial planning, investment analysis, market research, and data interpretation into the curriculum. Designed to equip students with real-world problem-solving skills, the program is already making waves in Nepal’s education sector.
“We’re not just teaching math – we’re showing students how numbers drive business decisions,” said Divesh Bathija, co-founder of Embark UnMath School. “The goal is to transform Nepal from an educational departure point into a destination for quality learning by nurturing talent that contributes directly to national development.”
Unlike traditional teaching methods, Entrepreneurial Math follows an interactive, hands-on approach. It includes six school visits throughout the academic year, during which students progress from learning about startup culture and market dynamics to developing prototypes and crafting detailed business plans.
The program will culminate in the Start Up Fest 2025, scheduled for December at Embark College, where students will showcase and sell their own products in a fully student-managed marketplace.
Early adopters of the program include Sanskriti International School, Euro School Hattigauda, and Alok Vidyashram, each reporting encouraging outcomes in both student engagement and understanding of mathematical concepts.
Embark UnMath Pvt. Ltd. is recognized for its pioneering educational programs that merge academic rigor with practical experience, aiming to make learning both relevant and future-ready.
