Sanskriti International School’s U-14 Boys Set to Represent Nepal at Dana Cup in Denmark

Kathmandu - Sanskriti International School proudly announces the participation of its Under-14 boys’ football team in the prestigious Dana Cup 7-a-Side Tournament, scheduled to take place from July 21 to 26, 2025, in Hjørring, Denmark.

Organized with the support of Aurium Sports Academy, this marks a significant milestone as the young athletes prepare to compete in one of the world’s largest and most international youth football tournaments.

With over 1,100 teams from 45 countries and more than 20,000 participants annually, the Dana Cup offers a highly competitive and multicultural platform. The Under-14 bracket alone draws over 100 teams from across the globe.

Held over five days, the tournament features round-robin group stages followed by knockout finals, all hosted on 50+ top-quality grass pitches connected through a shuttle system centered at Park Vendia. Players will be housed in local schools, promoting international friendship and cultural exchange. Founder Director Diptee Acharya called the team’s selection a “landmark occasion,” emphasizing it reflects the players’ dedication, discipline, and spirit of unity.

Head Coach Ramesh Maharjan echoed the pride, noting the training and commitment shown by the boys and highlighting the school’s focus on both academic and athletic excellence. The Dana Cup experience goes beyond football—it fosters global citizenship, resilience, and teamwork while drawing scouts and coaches looking for emerging talent.

Moreover, it contributes to the local community in Hjørring by funding grassroots sports initiatives. This international exposure promises to leave a lasting impact on the players and strengthen Nepal’s presence on the global youth football stage.
