ICAN to Hold First Campus Placement Program for Newly Qualified CA

Kathmandu - The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) will organize its first Campus Placement Program on 20 March 2026, aiming to support newly qualified Chartered Accountants in starting their professional careers and to meet the increasing demand for skilled finance professionals in Nepal.

ICAN, the national statutory body established under the Nepal Chartered Accountants Act, 1997, said the program will provide a structured platform to connect competent and professionally trained Chartered Accountants with potential employers from various sectors.

The placement program will bring together banks and financial institutions, insurance companies, corporate and manufacturing firms, audit and advisory firms, development organizations, startups, FinTech companies, and other employers seeking qualified accounting and finance professionals.

Speaking on the initiative, ICAN President Nil Bahadur Saru Magar said the program demonstrates ICAN’s commitment to supporting newly qualified Chartered Accountants at the beginning of their careers. He noted that the initiative aims to link talented professionals with suitable opportunities while addressing the country’s growing need for skilled and ethical finance experts.

Newly qualified ICAN Chartered Accountant members will participate in the program and engage with prospective employers through interviews and direct interactions.

ICAN said the initiative is expected to strengthen career pathways for Chartered Accountants and assist organizations in sourcing quality accounting and finance talent.
